Use this delectable and easy to make recipe to make
enough treats to keep your dog smiling til Christmas!
Ingredients:
1 lb. of finely ground raw liver,
1 cup of flour
1/2 cup cornmeal
1 to 3 tablespoons garlic powder
1 tbsp dried parsley
Spread on a lightly greased piece of tin foil on a cookie sheet.
The mixture will be VERY THICK like wet concrete! Bake at 350
degrees for 30 minutes. When it is done, peel off the tin foil, break
the liver into pieces. Freeze in small packages and thaw
Snappy Vegetarian Delights
Makes a beautifully formed,
crisp, tan-colored biscuit. Makes about 95 (using small biscuit cutter).
1 cup (250 ml) quick cooking rolled oats
1 cup (50 ml) margarine (butter)
11 cups (375 ml) hot water
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 Tbsp (15 ml) butter
1 cup (125 ml) powdered skim milk
1 egg, beaten
1 cup (250 ml) cornmeal, stone ground
1 cup (250 ml) wheat germ
2 1 cups (625 ml) whole wheat
flour 1 cup (125 ml) rye flour
Wash: 2 Tbsps (30 ml) milk
Blend ingredients, roll out, using a bone shaped cookie cutter ,
arrange biscuits on waxed sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for roughly 20
minutes or less. Cool and feed to deserving dog.
